The Fisheries act has been amended with a few points.
One point is that if you are fishing the following locations will now need to have a stocked impoundment permit. (SIP) You will see that Wyaralong Dam has been added to the scheme. Along with plenty of other fishing locations, some who have struggled for funding for years and others for sheer convenience to make it easier to fish locations such as Hinze dam for instance.
Also new is a new way to obtain a Stocked Impoundment Permit(SIP) using your smart phone and it is held in a digital form on your smart phone, In addition to the sub outlets eg. Selected Tackle Shops, Australia Post now will now sell a SIP. Also the existing on line service exists for you to be able to obtain a SIP online from your PC which will allow you to print your own paper licence if you wish.
Permits will no longer permit you spouse to fish as a part of your licence. All persons who fish will require to have their own SIP. The fee are $50 yearly, $36 Annual concession and $10 weekly. See below the additional dams and waterways that are now included in the SIP program as well as the existing waterways.
These new regulations will be enforced from the 1st July 2016.
