LAFMA member Steven Micalef put out a call on the LureLovers Forum for some donations of lures for Auctions towards funds for fish stocking. The makers on the forum responded overwhelmingly and we wish to thank them for their generosity. Auctions of these lures were then carried out on the Lurelovers Forum and we were able to raise over a thousand dollars towards the fish stocking. Thanks to Tony Mayfield the owner of the LureLovers Forum for this to take place, his help is greatly appreciated and again the donations from the Lure Makers. Check out just some of the donations below.
Recently Anthony Barnard the maker of Deep River Lures attended the One Lure Peter Newell Fishing Competition at Glen Lyon Dam. He made a swag of lures to use at the competition, at the end of the weekend he had some left overs so Tony auctioned them on E bay on the Behalf of LAFMA and he has raised $145 to go towards fish stocking. Good on you Tony...Check out Deep River Lures here.

Recently the members of LAFMA released 4800 Mary River Cod Fingerlings into the dam. Many members turned up for the event, with this being the first time we have released Mary River Cod into the dam. On the day we used kayaks to get to secluded areas to release the fingerlings. As the SEQ Boat was not available for the day, we were given permission to use one of the members boat. Check out the pictures below.
